Welcome to Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley’s home page. We are a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, home building organization.
We build homes in the northern portion of Kane County for families in need who cannot qualify for a conventional mortgage. Our partner families work along side our volunteer labor force in the construction of their home. Once completed, the homes are sold to the family at no profit and the families are provided with a zero interest mortgage.

Proudly we Announce Dream Builder's Soiree IV
On Saturday March 14, 2009, we will hold our fourth annual fund raiser at Geimer's Greenhouse in Long Grove. Our theme: 'Building Green Locally with a Global Impact'. Let's get together and help sponsor an energy efficient home for our area and honor Habitat's global effort. We will show details on our Event's & Classes page shortly. If you can't wait, call our office to be on a reserved ticket list. As always, seating is limited.

Own a Habitat for Humanity Home
Our Next Homeowner Orientation Meeting will be held on Saturday January 31st from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at Willow Creek Community Church (Barrington Road and Algonquin Road) in rooms B204/206. This is a mandatory first step in the homeownership process, so please attend if you are interested in owning a Habitat Home.

Get Involved The driving force behind the organization is its volunteers— those who contribute a day, a week, a few months, to give Habitat’s vision a tangible form. Help build, serve on a committee or at the ReStore, assist in fundraising events, donate materials. To learn more about volunteering, including some of our critical needs, click here, or attend one of our orientations. Orientation meetings are the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM at our ReStore facility located at 800 North State in Elgin (on Rt. 31 a mile south of I-90). For detailed directions go to the ReStore Hours and Location page. BUILD DAY Status: to check for a last minute cancellation due to weather etc, call the office, (847) 836 1432, and hit 5. We will update this message at 7:00 the day of the build if an issue arises. OUR OFFICE LOCATION Our office is 1/2 mile east of Spring Hill Mall just south of Main Street (Huntley Road).
